NOVA HOTEL

重庆是一个特别有意思的城市，因为除了其复杂的城市地理形态以外，多元的文化融合，以及极为接地气的生活气息是这个城市最为独特的魅力。就像重庆的火锅一样，什么食材都能放在同一个锅里，五味杂陈，热闹且又不失内容；也正是这样的人文特性，重庆还孕育出了独具人文特性的四川美术学院，因此为这个城市又增添了一份不可多得的艺术气息，但这种气息并非高不可攀，她更像是一种来至市井的艺术形态，人味浓郁。

Chongqing is a particularly interesting city in China, with its unique charm presented by intricate landform and diverse culture, as well as a down to earth life breath. Just like the Chongqing hot pot, simmering various food brings about a mixed and rich palate. On the basis of these cultural characteristics, Chongqing gave birth to the Sichuan Fine Arts institute, which hence has been actively exerting an influence in the fields of art. Moreover, rather than being highbrow, the art atmosphere this city breeds is full of vitality.

带着这样的思考，我们开始着手nova hotel的室内设计工作。nova，意指新发现的新星，我们也希望nova的存在如同在重庆酒店行业的一颗闪亮新星一般存在，但真的回归到设计的本意而言，当我第一次听到nova（诺娃）这个名字的时候，第一感受却是一个十分魅惑的名字，她就如同我所理解的重庆一样，妖媚却不艳俗，暧昧而不色情。她有着市井所认知的美丽，但又有着艺术从业者一样放荡不羁、无拘小节的洒脱。

With this consideration, we started doing interior design of nova hotel. Nova means the newly discovered star, and we hope nova's existence is like a shining star in Chongqing's hotel industry. When I first heard the name Nova, my first feeling was that it was such a charming name, just like Chongqing. So red and blue appeared in my mind for the first time. 

所以，魅惑的暗红色与忧郁的蓝色第一时间在我脑海里浮现，看似不着调的两个色彩，形成一种鲜明的对比与冲撞，这就如同一个城市的多元与冲突，这种冲突亦将被看作一场对话，演绎在城市之中。而这个城市的缩影将被一个个的符号装进这空间里面；工厂里的黑铁、码头上的缆车与轮渡、记忆里的售票窗口等，都被用做设计的元素，或被照搬、或被拆解的方式融入在了整个设计之中。而这，就是重庆的魅力所在。

These two colors bring a sharp contrast and collision, just like the diversification and conflict of a city. And the epitome of this city will be loaded into this space by individual symbols. Black iron in the factory, cable car and ferry on the pier, ticket window in the memory and so on are all used as design elements in this hotel.

回归到业态本身，作为一家深处闹市的城市酒店，我们同样关注其商业价值的表达，以及消费者的实际体验感受。所以，我们在有限的空间里面，划分出了十三间格局不同的客房，但并未因为客房数量的硬性要求，而丧失了入住体验的感受，反之，我们让每间房都得到了极佳的采光与视野保证，不同布局的划分，又让入住者有了较为丰富的差异化体验，从而保证了再次消费或多次消费的可能性，在小型城市精品酒店缺乏公共空间配套的前提下，室内的入住体验与差异化的表达就尤为重要，我们很庆幸，在保证在地性思考的同时，也有效的坚固了商业运营的实际需求。并且通过基础材质的大面积运用，降低了整体投入的成本，为后期运营创造了一定的优势条件。

Returning to the industry itself, we also pay attention to the expression of its commercial value and the actual experience of consumers. Therefore, in the limited space, we have divided thirteen rooms with different patterns. Each room has been carefully arranged to ensure optimal light and spectacular views, which are sure to delight the guests. Furthermore, the unique design of each room creates a fresh experience, thus ensuring re-consumption or more times. Under the premise that boutique hotels in small cities lack public space, indoor check-in experience and differential expression are particularly important. While ensuring local thinking, we also effectively strengthen the actual needs of commercial operation. And through the large-scale use of basic materials, the overall cost of investment was reduced, creating certain advantages for the later operation.
