我一直有一个观点，已经很久了。那便是关于设计师如何给自己制造一个用于容纳自己的容器。

I’ve held this view for a long time: a designer’s first commission should be to craft the vessel that will hold none but themselves.

这个容器，可以是你的工作室；也有可能是你的家；又或者是其它什么空间。设计师们则基于自己的立场，选择用不同的空间与形式，去肆意表达着自己当下的状态和情绪。而这种情绪，则一定与他个人的底层诉求，息息相关。

This vessel might be a studio, a home, or any other space at all. From their own vantage point, designers choose differing spaces and forms to give free rein to the mood of the moment—yet that mood is never arbitrary; it is the clearest echo of the designer’s most personal, underlying need.

而自宅，则是设计师们最佳的选择方式。因为，只有在自宅中，大部分设计师，才可以在不受外界过分干扰的前期下，去表达和宣泄自我。

所以，设计师的自宅，更像是一面镜子。它将非常真实的反映出，你内心里，所想要表达的样子。但这并不非完全是一个正向的行为，因为带着过分的宣泄与表现欲，则会将自宅变成一个毫无血肉的秀场。

The home, then, is the designer’s ultimate site of self-authorship. Inside its walls, free from client briefs and market noise, they can finally speak in their own voice—raw, unfiltered, at full volume.  Yet that freedom carries a warning. A self-portrait painted only with unchecked emotion can harden into a stage set: immaculate, deafening, and utterly bloodless.

自我

Self

自我，亦是一把双刃剑。

如果想要在自我中得到正向的反馈，我们首先得有十足的把握，愿意去认识和面对自己。也才能有机会，寻求到属于自己的真正立场。因为，自我从来就不是过度表达的借口，而是一个认知自己的过程。

The self is a double-edged sword.  To draw anything life-giving from it, we must first dare to know and face who we are; only then can we locate an authentic position. Selfhood is never a license for excess—it is a disciplined process of self-recognition.

比如，我，不再是一个个体。我是一个丈夫，我也是一位父亲，我还是一名设计师。那我的家，就需要在这些身份和前提下，去找寻到一些平衡。并且与不同的时间、时空，产生一些变化和关联。于是，我还得为此，留出一些空间。

Only after I have truly seen and accepted myself can I give this vessel a direction.  I am no longer just “me”; I am a husband, a father, a designer. My home must calibrate itself to these shifting weights—balancing them, letting them evolve with the hours, the seasons, the years. So I leave room: literal room, emotional room, room for the next version of us.

自醒& 自信

Self-awareness and self-assurance.

本质上，自醒是自我的一种升华，是连接过去与未来的精神桥梁，可以让我们在反思中打破固有的认知。从而获得真正的自信。

Self-awareness is, at its core, the distillation of the self—a bridge of mind and spirit that spans past and future. In its mirror we dismantle inherited certainties and, through that very fracture, discover an earned, unshakeable confidence.

我只希望，在这里，我们的生活，可以更舒适、更便捷、更省心。是我想要回去的地方。

So I stopped worrying about resale value, wow-factor, or novelty.  I no longer need a house to prove I’m a designer.  I only need it to be the place where life is softer, simpler, surer—  the place I’m always glad to come back to.

自在

At ease

对于一个成年人而言，想要回去的地方，必定是能让你卸下一切防备和武装的地方。因为，这里于你而言，亦是安全的、值得信赖的、和治愈的地方。

For an adult, the place you long to return to is the one that lets you lay down every defense and weapon—because there, and only there, you feel safe, trusted, healed.

这，便是自在的生活。

我可以在这里与家人一起做一顿饭、看一场电影、做一场游戏；也能一个人静静的听一首歌、看一本书、发一会儿呆。

This is the life of ease.  
Here, I can cook a meal with my family, watch a film, play a game;  or, alone, quietly listen to one song, read one book, let my mind drift for a while.

阳光随着时间的变化，可以肆意的洒向室内；植物也将随着季节的变化，而产生不同的颜色与画面。动静，也不再有界限，正如此时，门外“知了、知了”的叫个不停，我静静的躺在沙发上，已然知晓，盛夏已至。

Sunlight roams the room as the hours tilt; plants change their colors with the seasons, painting new scenes without a brushstroke. Motion and stillness lose their border: outside, cicadas rasp “summer, summer” without pause, while I lie quietly on the sofa and know—without looking—that the heart of summer has arrived.
